Call to ACTION:
Dear Visitors,
There is nothing
more heart stopping and thrilling, walking amidst the gently
waving prairie grass and shinnery oak with your favorite
bird dog, when you suddenly hear the explosion of wings
beating furiously from surprising that illusive covey of
Bobwhite Quail. Unfortunately, that scenario is becoming
less and less common with the decline of quail populations.
We
need to seriously think and work on those means necessary for
furthering, replacing and preserving quail habitat. The loss of
habitat is a major factor in the decline of quail populations.
The
heritage you and I know could be gone in as little as 10 years. Our
kids and grandkids will the ultimate losers.
Get involved! Join us in helping
to further our efforts in creating better habitat, public
awareness and conservation initiatives through legislation,
education, and land management policies and youth programs. Maybe
you or I as a single person can't make a difference - but
together as a group - WE CAN!
